The African Leadership Centre (ALC) at King's and Nairobi is comprised of a community of leaders driving peace, security and development.

We offer courses, programmes and research opportunities to inform and influence debate on issues of peace, leadership, development and security.

Celebrating Africa Week

Each year, we host a celebration of research, education and outreach activities on Africa with the Africa research group.

In the midst of major global shifts in recent years, Africa has demonstrated its agency across many issues including peace and security, climate change, health, and technology, among others.

Africa Week 2025 will explore how Africa can exercise greater agency in disrupting distances created by global power hierarchies under the theme "Disrupting Distances: Nations, Systems, and Leadership."
