King's Connect: mentoring for our students, by our alumni

King’s Connect is a unique opportunity for all current students to receive on-going mentoring and support from the alumni
King’s Connect is an online community that allows current students to connect with King’s alumni from all over the world and develop their own network. As a member, every student will have access to face-to-face meetings with their mentors as well as King’s Connect Launch and Skills Learning events.
At King’s we are not only focused on your academic learning but with our new online community, we now want to help build your own network of people in your industry. Within this platform you will be able to search for alumni located all around the world in order to establish a connection with them. King’s Connect will support your professional path; develop your network and give you access to the guidance and experience of successful alumni.
The programme started four years ago and has facilitated over 350 mentoring relationships so far. Almost one thousand alumni are part of the platform and there are 300 active mentors with about 7 alumni joining every day.
This is a great opportunity to benefit from the King’s global alumni network. Guidance is provided by the King’s Alumni Office throughout the programme.
Your journey as a part of King’s Connect
After submitting your application, you will be able to sign up for an interview and find your mentor within King’s Connect.
You can search alumni by subject area, course studied, employer and location. Once you have found an alumnus that could be a good match you can request to become their mentee. When the match has been accepted, you can connect with your mentor to define the goals and expectations for your mentoring journey.
At the end of the year, after evaluating the progress with your mentor, you can decide whether to continue your relationship.
