Apply for postgraduate research funding

The AHRC-funded London Arts & Humanities Doctoral Training Partnership (LAHP) is pleased to announce it will be awarding up to 80 studentships for postgraduate research students studying arts and humanities disciplines at King's College London, School of Advanced Study or University College London in 2016-17.

These studentships, which normally cover fees and maintenance allowance (stipend), are available to UK and EU students. Applications cannot be accepted from students liable to pay fees at the Overseas rate.

Candidates should be aware that the LAHP studentship competition is a twin-track process, and the will need to apply

a) for a place of study on their chosen PhD programme at one of the LAHP partner institutions, and

b) to LAHP for an AHRC studentship

The LAHP studentship competition will be open for applications on 1st December 2015 and close on 29th January 2016. The strong recommendation is that students wishing to apply for a LAHP studentship should submit their applications for a place to study on their chosen PhD programme by 15th January 2016. If you have already commenced doctoral study, you may apply for funding for the remainder of your study, providing that, at the start of the LAHP-AHRC award (September 2016), you will have at least 50% of the period of study remaining.

Your research topic must be within the subject areas covered by the AHRC. LAHP encourages cross-supervision between the partner universities; please speak to the supervisors or departments about the possibilities available.

Please see London Arts & Humanities Partnership website for further information.
