Arts & Humanities excels in 2016 QS World Rankings by Subject

Arts & Humanities subjects excelled in the QS World University Rankings by Subject again this year, with History at King’s leaping ten places to 17th in the world and maintaining its strong position as 5th in the UK.

The Department of European & International Studies ranking for International studies rose eight places in the world to 28th, and to 4th in the UK.

Modern Languages, encompassing the departments of French, German and Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American Studies maintained its position of 7th in the UK and rose to 34th in the world.

Media studies at King’s, sitting within the Department of Culture, Media & Creative Industries, jumped to 4th in the UK and rose into the top 50 in the world.

English at King's retained its place in the UK's top 10, while King’s Philosophy maintained both its rankings, holding at 6th in the UK and 27th in the world.
