Classics at King's is 5th in the UK in the QS World Rankings


Classics at King's College London is ranked 5th in the UK in the 2018 QS World Subject Rankings.

King's is also in the top 25 in the world for Classics. 

The Department of Classics at King's is one of the largest Classics departments in the UK, and Classical subjects have been taught at King's since the university opened its doors to students in the autumn of 1831. Head of the Department of Classics, Dr Daniel Orrells, said: "King's Classics examines the ancient world in its multicultural, multilingual and global dimensions."

Study topics include Ancient History and of Classical Art and Archaeology, as well as Greek and Latin languages, literature and thought, Byzantine Studies, Near Eastern Studies, Modern Greek Studies and the modern reception of the ancient world.
