Professor Anna Reading appearance at 'The Life Cycle of a Brilliant Idea' conference
Professor Anna Reading took a Leading Role this week in presenting on ways in which University research is partnering with the creative industries in a triple helix conference ‘The Life Cycle of a Brilliant Idea’ that brings together academics with government bodies and business leaders. The conference ‘Apeldoorn’ is an annual British-Dutch Dialogue organized by the British Council, the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Professor Reading drew on a number of current and past projects she has led between academics and creative industry partners in different university contexts in the UK and Australia. Her talk, ‘Friction and Flow: Innovation Between the Creative Industries and Universities’ addressed leaders and innovators from The Royal Bank of Scotland, Creative England, the van Gogh Museum, the BBC, the Netherlands Ambassador to the UK, Google, and the European Federation of Black Women Business Leaders.
Professor Reading spoke along side crowdsourcing entrepreneur, Korstiaan Zandvkliet, CEO, Symbid in a session chaired by Sharon Memis, Director of Innovation for the EU, British Council.
