Congratulations to PhD student Dr Anna Watts

We are delighted to report that CMCI postgraduate research student Anna Watts who was awarded her PhD in April for a study of mediated sex advice in Poland. This groundbreaking research, supervised by Professor Rosalind Gill and Dr Christina Scharff explored how the nature of public discourse about sexuality is changing as Poland transitions to a market economy with a globalised media, whilst also retaining strong influences from Catholicism and from the pre-1989 Communist era.
