DI student international lacrosse rep
Sixth year Intercalated student, Luisa Ramirez, has been successfully juggling the two commitments of study and sport throughout her time at dental school. As well as being involved in the KCL lacrosse club as a player, captain and president, she is now involved with the Ireland lacrosse programme and has represented the country internationally.
“I think it's hugely important and rewarding for students to engage in other aspects of university life while at dental school, sporting and otherwise, and I feel very lucky to have been able to continue my involvement with Ireland lacrosse for another year” she explains.
Late October Luisa received special funding to travel to Dublin for a training weekend that will open the door to the Home Internationals – an annual lacrosse tournament between England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland. “I am extremely grateful to KCLDI for providing their support and assisting me with funding for this purpose.”
