ACFF Hosts World Class Symposium at AEEDC 20th Anniversary Meeting

On Tuesday 2nd February, the Alliance for a Cavity-Free Future hosted their 2016 Global Symposium as part of the programme at the 20th Annual AEEDC Dubai Conference. Featuring speakers from the Dental Institute, the event was hosted by Professor Nigel Pitts.

Presenters included Professors Tim Newton and Stefania Martignon of the Dental Institute, along with other world renowned speakers. The innovative symposium event posed the question: "Does our current approach to caries prevention and control strategies integrate a sufficiently broad range of evidence?"

Presentations were offered from the perspectives of Nutrition, Education and Behaviour Change, Cariology, Public Health, Clinical Practise and Integrated Caries Prevention and Management. The event as a whole explored how we might better join up the evidence available from these fields to make an achievable difference in the world of caries prevention.
