Honorary Graduate from King's College London's Dental Institute
Early February Professor Maria Fidela de Lima Navarro, an academic dentist of international distinction and recent President of the International Association for Dental Research, was awarded an Honorary Degree from King’s College London’s Dental Institute. Professor Navarro transformed dental education in Brazil. She was Secretary-General of the University of São Paulo from 2006 to 2010 and Dean of the Bauru School of Dentistry, University of São Paulo, from 2002 to 2005.
She has been heavily involved with CAPES, the Brazilian Federal Agency for the Support and valuation of Graduate Education, and with CNPq, the Brazilian Council for Scientific and Technological Development.
The honorary graduates represent international distinction across a range of academic and other disciplines. King’s College warmly congratulates them and greatly values their involvement with the College, knowing that King’s will benefit from their experience and expertise in a variety of ways.
