PhD students win travelling scholarships

PhD student, Dr Vinod Patel has won a travelling scholarship from the Alpha Omega society. He will attend a clinic by Dr Sylivie Delanian, an oncologist based in Paris, France. Clinically it will allow him to see how Dr Delanian manages her patients and apply this to a jaw necrosis clinic that he has setup here at Guy's Dental Hospital where they are looking after 95 Osteoradionecrosis cases. 

Dr. Saoirse O’Toole from the Tissue Engineering and Biophotonics Department also won a travelling scholarship from the Alpha Omega society.  She will attend the european organisation for caries research (ORCA) in Athens in July 2016. She will be presenting her work on the risk factors associated with the development of dietary dental erosion.
