Dr Lara Feigel discusses her new book on BBC radio

Dr Lara Feigel, Lecturer in English and the Medical Humanities, discusses her new book The Love-charm of Bombs: Restless Lives in the Second World War on Radio 3's flagship arts programme, Night Waves, and Radio 4's 'Woman's Hour'.

'The Love-charm of Bombs' is a wartime chronicle of five prominent writers: Elizabeth Bowen, Graham Greene, Rose Macaulay, Hilde Spiel and Henry Yorke (writing as Henry Green), who volunteered as ambulance drivers, fire-fighters and ARP wardens during the Blitz.
