History student investigates Sherlock

Fern Riddell, a PhD student in the Department of History, has had an article on Sherlock Holmes' place in the public's imagination published in Times Higher Education.

Riddell obtained her BA degree and Masters in History from Royal Holloway, University of London. Dedicated to getting unique historical stories into the widest possible arena, she has appeared on BBC Coast, Radio 3, Radio 4, and ITV. She is an active twitter user and blogger, and has just completed her first book for the publishers Pen and Sword Books, 'A Victorian Guide to Sex'.
