Algorithms and Bioinformatics Group staff organize international workshop at Eurandom research institute.
On April 14-16, Professor Colin Cooper (Algorithms and Bioinformatics Group, Dept. Informatics) co-organized a research workshop 'Random Walks on Random Graphs and Applications' which was hosted by the Eurandom Research Institute.
The mission of Eurandom is to encourage research in the stochastics sciences by offering a dedicated meeting point for researchers and promote collaborative research at an international level.
The workshop focused on the theoretical background to randomized methods of search and information propagation in massive networks. This topic is the main research theme of the Algorithms and BioinformaticsGroup EPSRC funded project Randomized Algorithms on Computer Networks.
