Professor's Distinguished Lecture at INESC-ID
Professor Maxime Crochemore delivered a distinguished lecture on Repetitions in Strings on 2 December 2013 at Instituto de Engenharia de Sistemas e Computadores - Investigação e Desenvolvimento (INESC-ID) in Lisbon. The talk presented the theoretical foundations for processing texts and sequences, a major activity of the Institute that promotes works on speech processing and genomic sequence analysis.
The INESC-ID Distinguished Lecture Series is designed to allow outstanding scientists, academics or practitioners to share their vision, and present their groundbreaking work. Invited speakers cover a broad range of interests, activity profiles, and different stages of the professional career, being selected among those that have raised significantly above their peers in one or more aspects of their activity.
Maxime Crochemore is a Professor of Computer Science in the Algorithms and Bioinformatics research group of the Department of Informatics.
