Professor invited to speak at ArgMAS Workshop
Professor Andrew J I Jones of the Department of Informatics was the invited speaker at the Tenth International Workshop on Argumentation in Multi-Agent Systems, held on 06 May at the International Joint Conference on Agents and Multi-agent Systems (AAMAS 2013), St. Paul Minnesota, USA. His talk concerned the application of modal logics of belief to the characterization of self-deception. A one-page abstract of the talk is to be found here. The abstract also explains why the topic of self-deception is relevant to some current research issues in Informatics.
Professor Andrew J I Jones is Professor of the Logic and Theory of Normative Systems and was Head of the Department of Informatics (2005-2010). He is a member of the Planning, Agents and Intelligent Systems Group.
