Informatics Academic Awarded EPSRC Grant
Professor Arumugam Nallanathan from the Department of Informatics has been awarded £291,000 grant from the EPSRC for 5G research on ''Massive MIMO Wireless Networks: Theory and Methods''. Massive MIMO is a potential candidate for 5G wireless networks. This project will be carried out in cooperation with the mobile operator Three UK, Thales UK Limited and the Mobile Virtual Centre of Excellence (Mobile-VCE). This EPSRC Grant will strengthen the 5G research activities in the Centre for Telecommunications Research (CTR) part of the Department of Informatics.
