New Digital Forensics Teaching Laboratory

With funding from the College Teaching Fund, the Department of Informatics has established a postgraduate digital forensics teaching laboratory. This facility consists of the latest EnCase software for 10 PCs and accompanying write blocking hardware for USB and hard disk devices. EnCase is the main digital forensics investigation software used by law enforcement and commercial consultancies in the UK.

The lab will be used by MSc individual project students this academic year, and additionally by all students enrolled on two of the Department of Informatics'  ten MSc programmes in the following academic year.
