Informatics Professor receives IEEE Communications Society Outstanding Service Award
Professor Arumugam Nallanathan, of the Department of Informatics, received the 2014 IEEE Communications Society RCC Outstanding Service Award. The RCC (Radio Communications Committee) Outstanding Service Award recognizes the members of the IEEE Communications Society’s RCC who have a distinguished record of service to the RCC community over a long period of time, including organization of RCC endorsed symposia and workshops, providing exceptional leadership within the RCC, and promotion of RCC activities and interests in the broader research community.
Professor Nallanathan is a member of the Centre for Telecommunications Research group in the Department of Informatics. He published more than 200 technical papers (including 70 IEEE Transactions papers) in the area of wireless communications. His current research includes Millimeter wave communications, Massive MIMO, Cognitive Radio and small cell networks. He is an Editor of IEEE Transactions on Communications and IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology.
