Professor receives long service award

Professor Lakmal Seneviratne of the Department of Informatics was presented with a 25 year long service award from the Principal of King’s College London. The ceremony took place on 29 October 2013.

Offering his warmest congratulations to all those receiving awards, the Principal Professor Rick Trainor commented: ‘This is an important opportunity for the College to recognise the loyalty and dedication of members of staff who have served the College for 25 or 40 years, and to express our appreciation and gratitude towards them.

‘They have helped the College to grow into the strong and dynamic institution it is today. Their example enables us all to be proud of our association with King’s.’

Professor Seneviratne is a member of the Centre for Robotics Research (CoRe) in the Department of Informatics. His research interests include medical robotics, robotic grasping and robotic learning. He joined King’s in 1987 and the award honoured his 25 year service to the College.
