Academic co-founds London Robotics Network
The
London Robotics Network (LRN) was launched on 30 September 2013 at Imperial College London with the participation of robotic enthusiasts, industrialists, and academics from leading robotics research groups in London. LRN was founded by Rich Walker from Shadow Robotics, Dr Thrishantha Nanayakkara from the Department of Informatics, King’s College London, and Dr Mirko Kovac from Imperial College London. The network aims to provide opportunities to all those who are interested in robotics in London. LRN is funded by the Knowledge Transfer Network.
The first outreach event asked the audience for their opinions on three topics. Audience members wrote their answers on post-it notes. The questions were
1) Why is LRN important to me?
2) What can I do to provide opportunities to members in LRN?
3) Who is missing from this gathering?
All the answers can be seen here.
