The 4th Workshop on Social Network Analysis in Applications

Dr Katarzyna Musial-Gabrys from the Department of Informatics together with her colleagues from Wroclaw University of Technology, Poland and Uppsala University, Sweden are organising the 4th Workshop on Social Network Analysis in Applications (SNAA). The event is held as a part of the 2014 IEEE/ACM International Conference on Advances in Social Networks Analysis and Mining (ASONAM 2014), Beijing, China, August 17-20, 2014.

The area of social networks analysis and its applications brings together researchers and practitioners from different fields and the main goal of this workshop is to provide these people the opportunity to share their visions, research achievements and solutions as well as to establish worldwide cooperative research and development.

The scope of the workshop includes: social media, customer relationship management, customer behavioural analysis, recommender systems, medical applications, social networks in health and social care, educational applications, collaborative information retrieval, social networking sites, crime detection and investigation, organisational structure evaluation, collaborative environments, sharing systems, virtual worlds and online multiplayer games, systems for e-society, and real – world case studies from the area of social network analysis.

The deadline for submission is 09/04/2014.

Dr Musial-Gabrys is a member of Agents and Intelligent Systems research group in the Department of Informatics. Her research interests include large complex networks analysis, dynamics and evolution of networks and predictive modelling of relational data.
