Eight IoPPN academics among the world's most influential scientific minds

Eight academics from the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN) at King’s College London are ranked among the world’s leading scientific minds, according to the 2015 Thomson Reuters Highly Cited Researchers list.

Philip McGuire, Professor of Psychiatry & Cognitive Neuroscience, Professor Terrie Moffitt, Chair in Social Behaviour and Development, Sir Robin Murray, Professor of Psychiatric Research, Allan Young, Professor in Mood Disorders, and Professor Avshalom Caspi, Chair in Social/Personality Psychology, retain their places in the Psychiatry and Psychology category, having been featured in the 2014 list. They are joined by three new entrants, including:

- Dr Paolo Fusar-Poli, Clinical Senior Lecturer in Psychosis Studies
- Sir Michael Rutter, Professor of Developmental Psychopathology
- Ann McNeill, Professor of Tobacco Addiction (listed in the Social Sciences category)

Around three thousand researchers earned this distinction by writing the greatest number of reports officially designated by Essential Science Indicators as Highly Cited Papers — ranking among the top 1 per cent most cited for their subject field and year of publication, earning them the mark of exceptional impact.
