Bar Society Dinner: All Decked Out

KCL Bar Society held its ninth Annual Dinner on 5 February 2014. Olivia Odubanjo, Vice President, writes:

'Last Wednesday saw the Bar Society and its distinguished guests head to The Deck at the National Theatre for its Annual Dinner. In attendance were; students, King's College London alumni practicing at the Bar, judges, representatives from the University of Law, and the society’s guest of honour – Lord Judge, the former Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales.

With stunning views of the City across the River Thames, guests were served a sumptuous three-course meal in an exclusive and intimate setting. Following Mr Justice Foskett’s entertaining introduction, Lord Judge delivered a very poignant and meaningful speech. Guests were also entertained by a string quartet from the Royal Academy of Music, featuring first-year student Eva Xu.

The event was a huge success with many regular attendees hailing it as one of the best Annual Dinners they have attended. The Bar Society would like to thank all those who came and helped to make it a very memorable evening!'
