Beyond Conflict in Construction

The Centre of Construction Law & Dispute Resolution at The Dickson Poon School of Law hosted the European Society of Construction Law Congress ‘Beyond Conflict in Construction’ on 2 October 2015.
Over 100 delegates and speakers attended, drawn from across Europe and from Australia, Brazil, Peru and Texas.
The keynote speech was given by Dr Peter Hanford, UK Government Chief Construction Adviser. The conference included speakers from the UK, France, Denmark, Italy, Germany, Holland and Spain, analysing the impact of new procurement systems and technologies as well as the merits of alternative approaches to dispute resolution.
Professor David Mosey, Director of the centre, presented a paper on ‘The Value of Early Contractor Involvement’, based on current King’s research undertaken in joint venture with the UK Cabinet Office.
