rakhal-zamanRakhal Zaman, The Dickson Poon School of Law Prize for best student on the LLM in Competition Law

‘All praise for this award is owed to King's College. If King's had not given me a tuition fee bursary, I would not have been able to embark on my postgraduate competition law studies. It was King's exceptional professors like Professors Whish, Alexiadis, Bailey, Jones and Kovacic who inspired me, challenged my intellect and motivated me to strive for the highest marks possible. I am honoured to be a KCL alumni and I will proudly represent King's College for the rest of my life. I dedicate this award to Tim Mills and Anil Sinanan, who have shaped my intellectual skills and fascination for competition law during my undergraduate studies. I dedicate this to Family Arnold, for always treating me like family. Lastly, I dedicate the award to three special women who, throughout my studies, have made sure I stay focused on my academic goals and made sure I eat right during the stressful exam period: my better half Mumina, my sister Nilima (who is much smarter than me) and most of all, the greatest mother on earth who has raised me as a lone parent, Taslima Khanam.’
