New students welcomed at King's induction day

KingsInduction-2

New students were given a thorough introduction to The Dickson Poon School of Law at induction days earlier this month.

Both undergraduates and post-graduates heard talks from academics about the various modules they could take during their time at King’s, and each student was presented with an induction pack.

The Dean of The Dickson Poon School of Law, Professor David Caron, and the Dean of King’s College, Revd Professor Richard Burridge, welcomed students to the college personally, and Professor Burridge explained the unique Associate of King’s College award on offer to all students.

Law school staff also told students where they could go for support services, and a number of clubs and societies, including the Law Society and the Bar Society, talked about the activities their members took part in throughout the year.

Drinks receptions attended by academics and staff were held for both undergraduates and post graduates, where students could get to know each other and teaching staff.
