A Conversation with Professor Peer Zumbansen
Professor Peer Zumbansen visited The Dickson Poon School of Law at the end of January to meet staff and students and share his insights into transnational law and its relationship with global governance.

He attended a special seminar with PhD students and appeared in conversation with Dean Caron to discuss the role of transnational law in meeting modern-day global challenges - and the role of law schools in equipping graduates to do so.
During a wide ranging discussion, Professor Zumbansen commented that as the study of law becomes more transnational in its outlook practitioners are forced to ‘re-visit long held views and assumptions’ and ‘question who does the asking’.
Professor Peer Zumbansen holds the Canada Research Chair in Transnational Economic Governance and Legal Theory at Osgoode Hall Law School at York University in Toronto. He also holds the Inaugural Global Law Chair at Tilberg University in the Netherlands and is Visiting Professor of Law at Yale Law School.
The conversation forms part of The Dickson Poon School of Law Transnational Speaker Series.
