Visiting Professor Dale Jamieson provides insight on climate change

On Tuesday 21 May, Visiting Professor Dale Jamieson presented his insight on climate change, based on the content of his new book.

Speaking of the scope of his discussion, Professor Jamieson said: ‘This talk was about why we are stuck with climate change and what can we learn from our failures to get out of the ditch.

‘We should think through what we have done and what it means: to understand why the global attempt to prevent serious anthropogenic climate change failed, and to chart a course for living in a world that has been remade by human action.’

Simon Maxwell, Executive Chair of the Climate & Development Knowledge Network, presented his thoughts following Professor Jamieson’s discussion.

The event was part of the thought leadership series at the School and its vision to be recognised as a global leader in transnational legal research and education.
