Fun at 2017 Faculty Day

Faculty Day 2017 saw an international party vibe surrounding Guy’s Campus.

As the marquee went up, King’s Venues prepared a feast of international cuisine, the world was re-drawn and attached to Velcro, and hundreds of flags were hung around the PVC walls of our temporary micro-cosmos to set the scene for the day.

A huge vote of thanks to everyone who helped us create the day, and to those who came along to celebrate our Faculty’s diversity and rich global footprint.

Special mentions go to Suzanne Grant and all her team at King’s Venues for taking such good care of us, and to Chef Wojciech Piotrowski and his team for preparing such delicious food.

Many thanks to our host and speakers (Professor Richard Trembath, Professor Fiona Watt, Dr Richard Siow and Professor Funmi Olonisakin).

Thanks also to Max Manning Lowe, Molly Hrudka, Ben Barrett and their colleagues for providing posters and videos to illustrate just some of the reach we have across Asia and Africa, and to our team of student ambassadors (Sheraz Imran, Michael Rivera, Lucy Tomasetti, Anfac Ahmed and Adelina Tratarou) for looking after our guests' possessions and explaining how to take part in our interactive activities.

Finally, thank you to Robert Lechler who delivered a polished and inspiring Inaugural Lecture to end the day. It was well worth the wait.

We look forward to seeing you all again next year, for Faculty Day 2018.
