King's mathematics students invited to take Bloomberg aptitude test

Students from King's College London have been invited to take the Bloomberg Aptitude Test (BAT) at the Bloomberg office in London. This is a chance for students to learn about career enhancement opportunities in the finance sector. The visit will take place on 26 June 2013 and will include a tour of the Bloomberg office, information about Bloomberg's role in increasing financial market transparency and to connect with financial employers worldwide.

After taking the BAT King’s students will have the opportunity to enter their profile into the Bloomberg Talent Search - a tool that over 20,000 financial employers are using to find new talent for financial employment opportunities.

King’s College London is one of only a few Universities in the UK to offer direct use of Bloomberg data, information and analytics. Access is through theFinancial Mathematics Bloomberg terminals room in the Department of Mathematics. Bloomberg is one of the financial services’ leading providers of market data, news and analytical functions used globally in bank dealing rooms and investment houses.

The Department of Mathematics aims to provide postgraduate students with similar experiences to those operating in current financial organizations in researching, analysing and modeling real data behaviours. With Bloomberg we bring the real world of finance into the classroom providing students with access to the same information platform used by leading decision makers in business, finance and government.
