Dr Yanki Lekili joins Mathematics Department

Dr Yankı Lekili has joined the Department of Mathematics as a Royal Society University Research Fellow in Geometry.

Yankı Lekili received his PhD from MIT in 2009, under the supervision of Denis Auroux. In 2009-2010 he was a post-doc at MSRI/Berkeley and 2010-2013 he was a Herchel Smith postdoctoral research fellow at University of Cambridge.

Lekili's main area of research is symplectic topology and its applications to low dimensional topology. He is also interested in connections between symplectic topology, algebraic geometry and homological algebra.
