Faculty attends Disney's Big Hero 6 showcase!
On Saturday 31st January and Sunday 1st February the Faculty of Natural & Mathematical Sciences was invited by Empire Cinema in Leicester Square to attend the showcase of the new animated Disney film, Big Hero 6. Students from the Departments of Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Informatics, Mathematics and Physics wowed cinema viewers with some exciting science experiments and demonstrations before watching the family film.
Chemistry students experimented with dry ice whilst the Robotics society from the Department of Informatics showcased their robotic drum.
The Division of Imaging Sciences and Biomedical Engineering showed young people how their heart rate could be displayed on an iPad and the Department of Physics experimented with fluorescent liquid in the cinema theatre.
All of our friendly student ambassadors helped to make the event such a great success, here they all are with Baymax!
