Dr Julien Dutant joins the Philosophy Department

Julien DutantThe Department of Philosophy is pleased to announce that Dr Julien Dutant will be joining King's as a lecturer in September.

Julien will join the department as a lecturer in September 2015. He specializes in epistemology, philosophy of language, formal epistemology and the theory of rationality. He has studied at the University of Paris-4 Sorbonne, University College London, the University of Oxford and the University of Geneva, where he obtained his PhD in 2010. 

He has since held research and teaching positions at the University of Geneva and the University of Paris-4 Sorbonne as well as visiting postdoc positions at the University of Oxford and the University of Michigan.

"Julien’s cutting-edge work in epistemology, formal epistemology, and philosophy of language will provide further strength in these areas; his broad range of interests - spanning logic, metaphysics, history of epistemology, decision theory, and philosophy of mind - connects with the interests of many colleagues and students, and greatly enriches our intellectual community."
