Athena SWAN success for Cardiovascular

The Division is pleased to announce it has been granted a Silver Athena SWAN department award by the Equality Challenge Unit. The award, announced today, recognises the Division’s commitment to advancing women's careers in science.

To be successful, applicants to the charter needed to undertake detailed analysis of their practices, enabling them to plan measurable action that makes a real impact.

Credit goes to the Divisional self-assessment team and to Professors Cathy Shanahan and Metin Avkiran for leading on this’.
