Dr Carool Kersten participates in panel discussion on Egypt's constitution

Dr Carool Kersten has taken part in a panel discussion on Egypt's new draft constitution for the Islam Channel's current affairs programme Analysis, alongside Mohamed Soudan (a UK-based member of the Muslim Brotherhood), Anthony Dworkin (European Council of Foreign Relations), and Tamer Bahgat (an Egyptian lawyer and expert on constitutional law). 

The panel debates whether the results of this week's referendum on the new military-backed Government's constitution will represent the views of the people of Egypt, or whether they will serve to reflect the increasingly fractured society that last year's coup d'etat has wrought.

Dr Kersten is Senior Lecturer in the Study of Islam & the Muslim World.
