Dr Wing-Fai Leung has written about Taiwanese writer Qiu Miaojin in a special issue of Taiwan Insight. Qiu Miaojin's novels Notes of a Crocodile (1994) and Last Words from Montmartre (1996) are recognised as part of the lesbian literary canon
