Start-up Visa

The UKVI have opened a Start-up visa route in order to allow both graduates and non-graduates alike to apply for a 2-year visa to set up their own business in the UK.

This route is for people who have developed a credible business idea and who want to set up their own business in the UK. The Start -up visa scheme is open to both graduates and non-graduates who have been endorsed by an approved endorsing body. A list of endorsing bodies can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/endorsing-bodies-start-up

King’s College is an authorised endorsing body for the Start-up visa scheme. Please refer to the King’s Entrepreneurship Institute webpage for guidance on how final year students and graduates of KCL can apply to be endorsed by King’s College as a Start-up visa holder.

If you are successful, King's will issue you with an endorsement letter which you will use to apply to UKVI for your Start-up visa. More details of the requirements and how to apply are available on UKCISA's website. The Visa & International Student Advice Team can assist you with preparing your application form and supporting documents.
