We advise students face-to-face on campus and online. We can also provide advice via email and telephone depending on the complexity of your enquiry. Before getting in touch always check Student Services Online as the answer to most questions will be on there.
Our service specialises in complex money, funding and housing casework.
Offer holders please note - Embargo Disclaimer 2024
During the UCAS embargo period, Universities and colleges cannot discuss an applicant's individual status with them.
The embargo periods are:
- Scottish Qualification Authority: 29 July at 18:00 (UK time) – 6 August at 09:00 (UK time)
- Joint Council for Qualifications: 9 August at 14:00 (UK time) – 15 August at 08:00 (UK time)
Consequently, the Money & Housing Advice Service will not be replying to email enquiries or regiistration forms from UG offer holders throughour these embargo periods. Please contact us after the embargo period if you still require assistance. In the meantime you can search Student Services Online for information and guidance on common issues for this time of year, such as looking for somewhere to live.

Money & Housing Adviceline
For initial enquiries and quick queries with the specialist team relating to student money, funding, budgeting, benefits, debt and living in private sector rented accommodation, as well as the practical issues to consider around access to funding and housing when making changes to your course or taking a break from study.

Campus Drop-ins
Our drop-in sessions have now conculded for this academic year, they will operate again from the start of the new academic year, the week beginning 23rd September. Please use the Adviceline or complete the registration form.
Closure
From time to time we may need to cancel an outreach session in advance or at short notice due to staff training, annual leave or sickness. Please use an alternative method to contact us as above if the session you wished to use is cancelled.
