Here at King’s, we recognise the importance of creating new knowledge around the climate crisis. That’s why we’re working to support environmental research across multiple disciplines, in order to create a more sustainable future.

The King’s Climate & Sustainability Seed Fund is an initiative developed to offer extensive support to climate researchers at King’s by offering funding to existing staff to develop new research, create new connections and scale-up existing strengths.

The fund supports two types of proposals:

  • Smaller awards of £15,000 to £50,000 for focused developments, especially in the early rounds (typically 6-12 months).
  • Larger awards of £50,000 to £125,000, to develop well-defined opportunities to apply for major awards, important partnerships or centre-type grants (6-18 months).

The 3rd round of the Seed Funding is now closed.
