Expert advice from the Culture team and Science Gallery London is available to all research staff and students across King’s. Whether you are looking to develop culturally-engaged research activities or maximise impact through creative engagement with diverse audiences, the following can support your needs:  

 

Do you have a great idea for a digital engagement activity? Are you keen to get experience of engaging people with research? Funded by the Centre for Doctoral Studies and the Wellcome Trust Institutional Strategic Support Fund, PhD students, research staff and academic staff at King's are invited to apply for a small grant of up to £750 to deliver an online engagement activity.

Working across Research Strategy & Development, Science Gallery London and the Culture team, Impact and Engagement Services provides free consultation, grant writing advise and project costings for those seeking to build impact and engagement plans into research grant proposals, utilising Science Gallery London and the Culture team's network of creative professionals to enhance engagement practice.

Science Gallery London provides an environment to test and learn, with opportunities for researchers at all career stages to develop their research and public engagement practice. While the gallery will be closed until further notice, the programming team continue to plan for future seasons. Themes around vision and perception, and AI, healthcare and ethics are being developed for when the gallery opens. King’s Engaged Research Network (KERN) aims to foster a growing community of researchers interested in developing and sharing best practice for engaging diverse audiences with research. It offers monthly newsletters, opportunities to get involved and information on funding and resources. KERN is open to researchers, clinical and technical staff and postgraduate students at the university.
