We’re committed to good equality, diversity and inclusion practice in all our doctoral research activities. It’s key to widening participation and enabling success. The King’s Disability Support & Inclusion Team offer information, advice and guidance to prospective and current students. We also have a Disability Adjustment Planner, specifically tailored to doctoral students, making sure the right conversations take place, and you get the support and any adjustments you need.
We also offer a Doctoral Student Wellbeing Hub (internal) full of advice and guidance on staying well during your research degree.

Meet your fellow research students at one of our termly induction sessions and start to build your community. We run a series of doctoral essentials webinars and socials for new students to help you get settled.
Navigate your first few months as a research student by signing up to our peer support mentoring buddy scheme. You’ll be paired with a current researcher at King’s who can help you settle into life in London.
Explore your options and develop your employability as a doctoral student you can access careers support provided by our dedicated team careers consultants that provide bespoke careers support for researchers. King's Libraries and Collections offer a range of specialist support for researchers, including managing several postgraduate study spaces on campus across their library spaces.
We run regular doctoral student events including a board game cafe, writing retreats and museum visits.

The King’s Doctoral Students' Association (KDSA) represents all our doctoral students and supports our community through campaigns, regular social events, writing retreats and wellbeing sessions. Giving you the opportunity to meet researchers from across the University.
There are KDSA reps for each faculty and campus as well as reps for inclusion, equality and wellbeing who can help you if you have any questions, concerns or suggestions.
The KDSA are part of the King's College London Student's Union (KCLSU) who represent students across King's. The KCLSU have a number of student networks for Black Students, Disabled Students, Interfaith, International, First Generation, LGBT+ Students, People of Colour and Women. Any student who self-defines as a member of these communities is considered a member of their respective Network.
As a doctoral student you are also welcome to join any of the staff networks at King's, including Race Equality Network, Proudly King's (LGBTQIA+), NEST (parents and carers), ACCESS King's (disability inclusion) and Elevate (gender equality).
