Dimple Bath is a Senior Research Fellow at the Transnational Law Institute, The Dickson Poon School of Law, Kings College, London. She is admitted as an English and Indian lawyer. Dimple received a BA in Sociology and an LL.B. from Delhi University and is presently earning a LL.M. in International Corporate and Commercial Law from King’s. During her previous work at the law firms Ashurst, Freshfields and Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy, she focussed on limited recourse project financings, risk mitigation, tariff component and sovereign concessions. Dimple also served as Senior Legal Counsel for Marubeni Europower Ltd, the European subsidiary of the Japanese trading house Marubeni Corporation, advising on Marubeni’s infrastructure, oil/gas and electricity FDI projects in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India. She has been Co-Editor of Sweet & Maxwell journals Oil & Gas Law and Taxation Review as well as Project Finance International. Dimple is a senior associate with the Legal Policy and Research Unit of the International Bar Association. Her wider research interests include transnational legal culture and processes, corporate social responsibility and legal education and curriculum reform.
