TLP – Transnational Legal Practice

We will be starting the Spring academic semester 2020 with the intensive “TLP” courses: “Transnational Legal Practice”. Offering two free 15hr long modules the first week.

The TLP Intensive Legal Practice programme is hosted and funded by the Transnational Law Institute. Courses are taught Monday-Friday 18.00 - 20.00 and marked on a pass/fail basis. Enrolment is open to students in the LLM and PhD programme at King’s.

TLP 2020 brings to the Law School and to King’s renowned legal scholars & practitioners to lecture on the legal practice side of Law:

Courses 1A & 2A: 13-17 January 2020

Prof. Jothie Rajah, American Bar Foundation, Chicago: Transnational Law and the Politics of Food - Course description.

Prof. Dipika Jain, OP Jindal Global Law School, Delhi: Constitutional Litigation and Social Movements - Course description.

The TLP is an important addition to the curricular offerings at The Dickson Poon School of Law and will be offered on an annual basis at the start of the Spring term. The focus on preparing students for legal practice in litigation, advocacy or activism, in consultancy or in an advisory capacity is a crucial component of better preparing our graduates for their future work, as the modules offer invaluable opportunities to engage with current topics from a practical perspective.
