Season's Greetings from King's Employer Engagement 2025
Andrew Wright, Associate Director (Employer Engagement & Work-based Learning)
Wishing all our employer, alumni and supplier partners a safe and happy holiday season!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Employer Engagement Teams at King's College London!
Our offices are closed from 16:00 on Tuesday 23 December to 09:00 on Friday 2 January 2026 inclusive. During this time we will not be able to publish or approve any opportunities uploaded to King's CareerConnect or confirm any bookings for events.
As another autumn season passes, we're busy analysing all the data of our student attendances by various demographics - and we'll be sharing that information with you in the new year on our event 'fact files'. Certainly, facing a highly challenging market, we've noted student demand strengthened across the board with your continued engagement at King's seen as more important than ever.
Thank you for continuing to partner with us, to recruit our students and researchers and sharing these challenges so we can overcome them together. Your trust in us being ready to adapt and deliver engagement which supports your future workforce planning is not underestimated in a highly competitive global market for talent.
What's coming up in 2026?
King's Employer Summit & Strategy 2030
Following our inaugural event in May, we're already busy planning our second Summit which will take place on Friday 8 May 2026. Please save the date - further details will follow in our Winter Employer Newsletter in December.
Next year's event will coincide with the launch of King's ambitious new institutional strategy, and we want to bring employers into the heart of that conversation and see how we can work to meet those aspirations. You'll hear the latest insights from our teams, how King's is looking to the future, and be able to network with our faculty leadership training the new generation of talent.
Our refreshed Employer Advisory Board will also be supporting us to integrate employability across King's programmes in new ways, enhancing our labour market intelligence and working directly with leaders across the University.
Brand & Attraction Events open in February 2026
Last year we undertook a large-scale review of our core brand and attraction activity, offering new ways to engage, in new spaces and with broader audiences. As we head into 2026-27 planning, many of these will be returning once again - and we'll be tweaking them further to make them even more impactful.
We're also sharing more data than ever before on historic attendances - in early 2026, we'll be publishing full breakdowns of attendances at our key events by faculty, gender, nationality, career confidence, level of study and disability to help you once again maximise your engagement in this activity as we prepare to open up for autumn 2026 activity.
Our hope is that this supports you in decision-making around which events will be of greatest impact to you, factoring in different priority cohorts alongside restricted budgets and resourcing, allowing you to make the most of engagement at King's in the right spaces.
Experiential & Work-based Learning
As King's launches its new institutional Strategy 2030, we're busy planning how to further enhance our provision of experiential learning - expanding our new 'escape room' concept and bolstering our partnerships to provide new virtual projects with employers around the world - further details to follow at our Employer Summit.
Global Engagement & Labour Market Insight
Once again, we're hitting the road and plan to be visiting key recruitment markets for our students and graduates, building our international reach.
Next spring, we'll be back in the US at the NAFSA Conference in Orlando and NACE Conference & Expo in Denver, USA and in further exciting developments, we can't wait to be working with colleagues at both LSE and Imperial College London to deliver a refreshed series of careers fairs out in mainland China and Hong Kong SAR next August, before joining alumni and academics in Singapore later in the summer.
More details on how to book your place for these events in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong will follow very soon if you're keen to build your profile and meet with top talent from three top ranked global universities.

From all of us at King's Employer Engagement, we thank you for all your continued support throughout this most different of years, and look forward to working with you again in 2026!
