  • Computer science

Biography

Héctor Menéndez obtained his PhD in Computer Science (under the topic of evolutionary computation applied to machine learning) from the Autonomous University of Madrid in 2014, after graduating with a BSc in Mathematics (2010) and a BSc in Computer Science and the equivalent MSc (2012). Once he moved to London, he spent five years working as a postdoctoral research associate in the SSE group at UCL, working on software testing and cybersecurity.

Research interests

  • Machine Learning (classification and clustering algorithms, deep learning, and testing)
  • Software Testing (automatic test generation and diversity)
  • Cybersecurity (malware analysis and mitigation, and obfuscation)
  • Quantum Programs (design and testing)
