Laura Edwards

Performance & Workforce Manager

Biography

Laura manages the King's Sport & Wellness  Performance Programme

Laura's passion for sport began when she started artistic gymnastics at just 7 years old. She became an elite gymnast and represented Great Britain numerous times throughout her career at both junior and senior level. Laura earned herself a silver medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games and travelled to Tokyo in 2011 for the World Championships.

Laura then completed a BSc in Applied Sports Science and further studied an MSc in Athletic Development and Peak Performance. Whilst studying, Laura gained experience working with elite athletes and developing their physical characteristics for performance.

After competing at a world class level, Laura’s passion has now developed to helping support athletes achieve their goals. She has a particular interest in developing athletes as individuals and spends time working one-to-one with athletes enabling them to balance their dual career lifestyle.

Since working at King's, Laura has gained experience in personal training and instructing group exercise classes. She enjoys helping clients become stronger and healthier.
