
Biography
Nazish joined the Department of Political Economy as a PhD student in September 2025. Her research explores the political economy of public administration and governance reform, focusing on how incentives and institutional arrangements shape bureaucratic effectiveness and public service delivery.
Before starting her PhD, she has worked with the FCDO, World Bank and Asian Development Bank on public sector reform and policy design, spanning industrial development, investment, trade, taxation, social inclusion and women’s labour force participation. She has also taught economics at the Lahore University of Management Sciences.
Nazish holds an MPhil in Economics from the London School of Economics and an MSc in Economics and Finance from the University of Bristol.
