Biography
Professor Vibhu Paudyal is a Professor of Health Services Research & Inequalities within the Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care at King's College London.
Vibhu’s research focuses on understanding and mitigating inequalities particularly in people who face multiple and severe disadvantages. His research has offered extensive evidence on the disparities in health and access to healthcare faced by people experiencing homelessness. Currently he is leading a UK NIHR Health Service Research and Delivery Research funded trial to test a model of care which involves integrated health, social and practical support for people experiencing homelessness.
Vibhu’s research works reflect interdisciplinary collaboration and coproduction. He engages with patients, service users and people with lived experiences of marginalisation and exclusion when designing and delivering research. He has also collaborated internationally, and more recently in South Asia in research seeking to promote access to treatments for pain, substance use disorder and blood borne viruses.
Vibhu is a Fellow (FESCP) and previously the Chair of the Research Committee of the European Society of Clinical Pharmacy (ESCP). He is also the associate editor of International Journal of Clinical Pharmacy, an ESCP flagship journal.
Vibhu is a keen educator and has taught across various undergraduate and postgraduate professional curriculum in healthcare. He has supervised 12 PhD students to completions and has externally examined postgraduate programmes and PhDs within the UK, Ireland, Qatar and Australia. He has co-edited one book, co-authored two book chapters and over 120 peer reviewed research papers.
