The Director of Business Development and Innovation (currently vacant), leads the King’s Innovation Catalyst Department, working in collaboration with Professor Sebastien Ourselin, Assistant Principal (Innovation) to help King’s researchers unlock commercial opportunities to create impact at scale from innovation. 

The department is comprised of three teams that provide end-to-end support and management of the innovation pipeline:

• the Translational Research Office

• Industry Research Partnerships Office and

• Intellectual Property and Licensing Team.

Together, King’s Innovation Catalyst support King’s researchers to win translational grants for launching early ideas beyond the lab, secure collaborations and licensing deals with industry and other partners, and spin out new ventures.

We connect King’s research talent with industry and funders to champion a diverse portfolio of breakthrough technologies and life-changing innovations.
